Meet Dr Bhanu Deval
Dr Bhanu Deval’s journey into fertility medicine began over two decades ago. Growing up, he witnessed how family shapes lives; it’s why helping people build their own families became his life’s passion. He understands that subfertility might not be a visible illness, but it can profoundly affect emotional, physical, and mental well-being, for individuals, couples, and their families.
After completing his postgraduate training in India, Dr Deval worked at Jaslok Hospital in Mumbai, where his interest in fertility treatments first blossomed. In 2003, he moved to the UK to deepen his training. There, he discovered the critical role ultrasound plays in providing precise, high-quality fertility care. In 2008, he completed formal training in Gynaecological Ultrasound at the University of Portsmouth, UK, while rotating through prestigious hospitals in London.
His passion for advanced techniques led him to a two-year fellowship at the Assisted Conception Unit of King’s College Hospital, London. During this time, he refined his skills in IVF, ultrasound, and complex fertility treatments, particularly for conditions such as fibroids, endometriosis, and low ovarian reserve. In 2014, he was appointed Lead Consultant at CREATE Fertility in Wimbledon, working alongside pioneers of mild and natural IVF. It was there that he truly embraced the philosophy of gentle, patient-centred fertility care.
In 2018, Dr Deval moved to Australia, settling in Perth in 2019. He launched MiFertility in 2020 to bring his experience in personalised mild IVF protocols and advanced ultrasound assessment directly to patients in Perth.
