DR. BHANU DEVAL (Fertility Specialist)

Dr Bhanu Deval is the Lead Fertility Specialist and founder of MiFertility, Australia consulting from his suite in Ascot, WA.

Bhanu has extensive experience in treatment of subfertility from his work in the UK. He was the Lead Consultant in Assisted Reproduction and Reproductive Endocrinology at one of the largest Fertility units in London-CREATE Fertility from 2014 to 2018 prior to moving to Australia in late 2018. Working with the pioneers in the field of Mild IVF-Professor Geeta Nargund and Professor Stuart Campbell of CREATE Fertility, UK- Bhanu has developed particular expertise in the application of advanced ultrasound and devising milder, more personalised protocols for women with challenging  fertility background-those with advanced age, low reserve of eggs within their ovaries (low AMH), severe endometriosis/adenomyosis, and multifibroid uterus with difficult access to ovaries needing transabdominal egg collection.

Bhanu trained in all aspects of subfertility in the Assisted Conception Units of prestigious institutes in London- Guy’s Hospital and King’s College Hospital between 2009 to 2012. He successfully completed the RCOG, UK accredited Advanced Training Skills Module (ATSM) in Subfertility and Reproductive Endocrinology in 2012. Bhanu also underwent extensive training in minimal access surgery in Gynaecology completing the RCOG, UK accredited Advanced Training Skills Module in Benign Laparoscopic Surgery and uses his surgical skills to enhance natural conception and complement IVF/ICSI treatment, striving to provide comprehensive care to women with subfertility. 

 

Bhanu has extensive experience in the use advanced Gynaecological ultrasound and has a Post Graduate certificate in Obstetrics and Gynaecological Ultrasound from University of Portsmouth, UK. He was British Fertility Society (BFS) accredited trainer for Assisted Reproduction, Embryo Transfer and Gynaecological Ultrasound modules. Besides the BFS, he is also a member of the American Society of Reproductive Medicine (ASRM) and ESHRE (European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology).

Bhanu also works as a Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at St John of God Midland Public and Private Hospital and is an adjunct Senior Lecturer in Obstetrics and Gynaecology and mentor for medical students at Curtin Medical School, Perth.

Bhanu is married and has two sons. In his spare time, he loves listening to music, singing and hiking with friends.
