Enhancing Natural Conception

Lifestyle/Dietary Modifications: Both female and male fertility can be affected by multiple factors, some of which can be modified by lifestyle and dietary changes alone to enhance chances of natural conception. Your Fertility Specialist will discuss these with you.

Hysteroscopic Surgery: A proportion of women with pathology like fibroids, polyps affecting the cavity of the womb may benefit from Hysteroscopic surgery to enhance their chances of natural conception.

Laparoscopic Surgery:  A proportion of women with pathology like endometriosis, adhesions (scar tissue) in their pelvis may benefit from laparoscopic surgery to treat these and enhance their chances of natural conception.

Assisted Conception

Ovulation Induction

Women with ovulatory dysfunction (irregular ovulation or anovulation) due to PCOS (Poly Cystic Ovarian Syndrome) or other pathology are likely to have infrequent periods and may benefit from medications to induce ovulation.

The monitoring and management of all ovulation induction treatment cycles is performed at Mifertility

Intra Uterine Insemination (IUI)

This involves insemination of the prepared semen sample into the uterine cavity shortly after women have ovulated.

Currently, IUI has limited applications in fertility treatment but is a likely useful option for couples with sexual dysfunction and for women seeking treatment using donor sperm-single women or same sex couples.

The monitoring and management of all IUI treatment cycles is performed at MiFertility. The insemination procedure (IUI) is performed at the Pivet Day Care Centre in West Leederville, Perth.

IVF/ICSI (In Vitro Fertilisation/Intra Cytoplasmic Sperm Injection)

At MiFertility, we realise that every person is different, and even as we are a different from each other, our bodies function differently at different times. At MiFertility, we strive to focus on the unique individual characteristics of each person to devise personalisedIVF/ICSI treatment protocols for our women.

We have huge experience and expertise in using natural modified IVF treatment protocols which are particularly well suited for women with low AMH and low reserve of eggs within their ovaries (low ovarian reserve) based on ultrasound assessment of their follicular count (Antral Follicle Count, AFC).

Our milder protocols give excellent outcomes in women with normal/good ovarian reserve but with other complex pathologies like endometriosis/adenomyosis.

MiFertility has partnered with the Monash IVF West, West Leederville to provide world class embryology services. Monash IVF West is the first IVF centre of Western Australia and has a long established track record of providing excellent success rates utilising their state of the art laboratory facilities and dedicated theatre facilities for egg collection and embryo transfer.

The monitoring and management of all assisted conception treatment cycles is performed at Mifertility and women have their subsequent procedures(e.g: egg collection/embryo transfer, insemination) at the Pivet Day Care Centre in West Leederville. Please click https://www.pivet.com.au to know more.

Using Donor Eggs/ Donor Sperm

A proportion of women with very low ovarian reserve have the option of using donor eggs to increase their chances of success.

Donor sperm is commonly used by single women/same sex couples for performing IUI or IVF/ICSI.

MiFertility can help women/couples seeking treatment using donor eggs/sperm by our liaison with Monash IVF West which has a well established donor sperm and egg bank. Please click here for further information on use of donor gametes:
